How We Make It:
Luthai is a world-renowned vertically-integrated shirt fabric maker and shirting manufacturer. Their expertise ranges from traditional cotton broadcloths, to our favorite custom-milled blended-fiber knits such as in our Hybrid shirts.
Tainan Enterprises is a factory group based out of Tainan, Taiwan with factories across South Asia. They’re specialists in casual garments, particularly with stretch bottoms - perfect for our Fusion Pants for men and Momentum Chinos. See behind the scenes of Tainan Enterprises’ Jakarta factory.
We use Durable Water Repellants (DWR) in many of our core fabric platforms (Kinetic, Doppler and Momentum) to give them the ability to repel water and stay dry in the rain.
Singtex is one of our long-time partners who is a pioneer in the development and milling of sustainable performance yarns and fabrics. We use S.Cafe, one of their proprietary processes to create coffee-derived sustainable materials. It’s a collection of odor-controlling moisture-wicking, waterproof and insulative fabrics that are made of coffee grounds and recycled polyester.
We’re inventors, and we love learning how and where things are made. Learn more about how we make Atlas Sweaters.
Ministry of Supply’s advanced craftsmanship is rooted in our manufacturing partners who take pride in their skilled team, advanced machinery and technical know-how. Here are a few ways they bring this to life.
The Atlas socks are one of our signature products, that we launched in 2013. It features a combination of innovative yarns and advanced computerized knitting to create a comfortable sock that dissipates moisture and pressure and keeps odor at bay. Here’s behind the scenes on how we make them.
Family-owned, and our longest production partner (we’ve been working with them for 7 years), Blue Wave produces our most technical cut-and-sew products, including Apollo, Aero, Hybrid, Momentum, Juno, Composite, and Mercury.
The “make” stage is an exciting opportunity for innovative sustainability. We think about the “Three R’s,” Recycle, Reduce, and Reuse, throughout this stage.
We’ve been working with Matsuoka for over 5 years in producing our Kinetic and Velocity suits and separates due to their expertise in tailored garments, skilled craftsmanship and machinery specific to blazers.
