The origin of the name Ministry of Supply?
Our name derives from the British Ministry of Supply, the cover agency for Charles Fraser-Smith, the inventor immortalized as “Q” in James Bond. During WWII, Fraser-Smith invented gadgets and clothing designed to help soldiers and special ops agents succeed on their missions. We’re inspired by Charles Fraser-Smith, and aim to be your real-life Q.

What does the degree° mean to Ministry of Supply?
We study temperature°
First, We research how your body expels heat and moisture to see how our clothing can exact as a second skin, to keep you cool and dry.
Second, we also pay attention to how climate can changes around you and how our clothing can react from moving from an AC office to a hot Subway cart.
We study movement°
Clothing is produce on static mannequins. Humans just arent that. We want to make clothes that move with you, using materials with incredible stretch and resilience, while also using shaping garments around real people.
Climate Zero° since Day Zero
Our commitment to the planet is serious and with the help of some great partners. We will offset the cost of every carbon emission that we have contributed since our original inception in 2012.
